Counselling Training College

We are a specialist college dedicated to training counsellors to the highest standards. We offer a professional, high quality training.

We offer both weekend teaching (Saturday and Sunday) and weekday teaching (Thursday and Friday).

Application packs for September 2023 Admissions will be available on 16th December 2022. Applications will open on 23rd January 2023


Matrix has a strong history of training excellent counsellors through heightening knowledge, developing skills, emphasising self-reflective practice and promoting ethical and safe standards.

We offer outstanding training and support, enabling our students to have practical experience in local counselling agencies.  Through our vision and aim to be the best counselling training in East Anglia, our students are widely known to be mature, skillful and ethical.


Our Course

BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling

We offer a three year BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling validated by Middlesex University. This programme was developed and is delivered and assessed by Matrix, and is awarded by and quality assured by Middlesex University.

Why you can trust our course

Our academic standards and quality are monitored by Middlesex University who appoint an external examiner who ensures that our training programme meets the required academic standards and is equivalent to other university training.

Our professional standards are overseen by the UKCP and we adhere to their Standards for Education and Training for Psychotherapeutic Counsellors.

We are a registered provider of Higher Education.

This means we have demonstrated to the Office for Students (the regulator of English Higher Education) that we:

  • Provide a well-designed course that delivers a high-quality academic experience for all students
  • Support students from admission through to completion
  • Ensure students’ outcomes are valued by employers or enable further study
  • Award a qualification that holds value over time, in line with recognised standards
  • Pay regard to guidance about how to comply with consumer protection law
  • Have a published student protection plan setting out the risks of course or provider closure, and how we will protect students’ interests in such an event
  • Have the financial resources to provide and deliver the courses advertised
